Your work stays on your Mac

Offset stores your tasks, pinned goal, timer state, preferences and focus-tip progress locally on your Mac. This version has no account, cloud sync, advertising or third-party analytics. It does not send your tasks or focus history to an Offset server.

Your choices

You can edit or delete tasks in the desk. Completed tasks stay on your Mac until you delete them. App settings and local data may remain after removing the app. They may also be included in backups you control, such as Time Machine.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, macOS can show your task title when a focus session ends. You can control notification previews and permission in System Settings. You can configure completion and break sounds in Session options.

Apple services

macOS and Apple may process information under their own privacy policies, including App Store services and diagnostics you choose to share. TestFlight beta builds can share crash reports and feedback with the developer through Apple. Offset does not include a separate crash-reporting service.

Links and support

Research links open websites in your browser. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Support details are copied only when you choose Copy support details. They include the app version and macOS version, not task titles or focus history. Nothing is sent automatically. Information you choose to send for support can be used to answer your request.

Website access

This version does not block websites or monitor your browsing. Older experimental browser extensions are separate installations and should be disabled or removed before using this version.
